Former WBO super-welterweight world champion, Liam Smith, will challenge for his former title against current champion, Sadam Ali, in New York on 12th May.
Liam, 29, from Liverpool, is looking to regain his title and has lost just once in 28 fights – beaten by Saul ‘Canelo’ Alvarez in 2016 to lose his world title belt.
He will be facing, New Yorker Ali, 29, who has also lost only once in 27 fights, and will be making his first defence of the title.
Talking about the bout, Liam explained: “I’m confident and I’m naturally the bigger man.
“I’m looking forward to pitting myself against a good fighter, a former Olympian and now world champion who is coming off the back of a good win against Miguel Cotto,”
